    Temperature performance
     
    ● Silicone adhesive:
    Excellent high-temperature stability and remains flexible at low temperatures;   suitable for thermal cycling and gaskets/seals.
     
    ● Acrylic adhesive:
    Good overall temperature performance but generally not as flexible as silicone;   may become more brittle at very low temperatures or soften at high temperatures.
     
    Chemical resistance and environment
     
    ● Silicone adhesive:
    Excellent resistance to moisture, water immersion, UV exposure (for outdoor use), and many chemicals;   maintains elasticity.
     
    ● Acrylic adhesive:
    Good chemical and UV resistance for many environments but typically less flexible than silicone;   weathering resistance is formulation-dependent.
     
     
    Flexibility vs rigidity
     
    ● Silicone adhesive on PTFE:
    More flexible, able to accommodate movement, vibration, and thermal expansion without losing seal.
     
    ● Acrylic adhesive on PTFE:
    Typically stiffer;   strong initial hold but less forgiving with movement;   better for rigid, high-tack bonds.
