This is a widely used property of F46 film in packaging and protection applications.Principle: F46 film turns into a molten state above its melting point. When pressure is applied to two layers of film, their molecular chains interdiffuse and entangle, and they fuse firmly together after cooling.
· High Sealing Strength: The seam strength after heat sealing is close to the strength of the base material itself.
· Excellent Sealability: It forms a fully sealed barrier with good barrier properties against gases, liquids and microorganisms.
· Wide Applicability: It is a core material for manufacturing disposable biopharmaceutical liquid storage bags, pharmaceutical packaging and anti-corrosion protective covers.
F46 film can be thermoformed like PVC or PET films to manufacture linings or components with complex shapes.Process: Heat the F46 film above its melting point (approx. 260-280℃) to soften it, then make it fit the mold surface through vacuum, pressure or mechanical plug assistance, and finalize the shape after cooling.Features:
· High Elongation: F46 film has a high elongation at break (usually over 250%), enabling forming into deep cavities and complex curved shapes.
· Controllable Precision: It can precisely control thickness distribution, suitable for making anti-corrosion liners for pump valves, tower sections and complex containers.
Welding is a key technology for joining F46 sheets or films in the manufacture of large-scale chemical equipment linings or on-site installation.Methods:
· Hot Air Welding: Use a hot air welding gun to heat the F46 film and filler welding rod to a molten state, and apply pressure to fuse them. This is the most commonly used method in on-site construction.
· Hot Plate Welding: Heat two F46 surfaces to be welded to a molten state at the same time, then press them together quickly. Suitable for manufacturing linings for large storage tanks.Features: Welded seams have high strength, and their corrosion resistance is consistent with the base material, making it an important means for the manufacturing and on-site repair of large-scale anti-corrosion equipment.
F46 film can be laminated and composited with other materials (such as metals, fiberglass cloth or other plastics) to enhance its mechanical strength or endow it with new functions.
· Composite with Metals: Composite F46 film with metal substrates such as steel plates and titanium plates through hot melt adhesive layers or special treatment layers. This fluoroplastic-metal composite plate retains the rigidity of metal while obtaining the excellent corrosion resistance and non-stickiness of F46, making it an ideal material for manufacturing large-scale anti-corrosion reactors, storage tanks and heat exchangers.
· Composite with Fabrics: Composite F46 film with fiberglass cloth or polyimide film to produce high-temperature resistant release cloth or flexible printed circuit board substrates.
