There are two mainstream types of PTFE high-temperature tape on the market:Pure PTFE tape with an ultra-smooth surface, specially suitable for optical film production;Fiberglass-reinforced PTFE high-temperature tape, whose tensile strength is 2-3 times that of pure PTFE film, with 30% higher wear resistance. It is the preferred choice for most plastic film production lines.

Comparison with Conventional Anti-stick Solutions

PTFE high-temperature tape outperforms silicone rubber tape for its outstanding solvent resistance and non-swelling property.It is more scratch-resistant than conventional spray coating and plating solutions, thanks to its high-strength fiberglass base structure.It features high cost efficiency: no roller disassembly is required for installation, and the replacement cost is only 20%-30% of re-spraying. Spiral winding installation can be adopted to extend the maintenance cycle.

Notes

The long-term continuous working temperature limit of PTFE high-temperature tape is 260℃. For higher temperature working conditions, PI tape is recommended. Besides, the splicing seam of the tape may cause slight indentation on optical films.
