1. Outstanding High Temperature Resistance
It supports continuous service temperature up to 260°C and instantaneous peak temperature resistance of around 300°C, far exceeding conventional high-temperature filter materials such as PPS (190°C) and aramid (200°C), and approaching the operating temperature limits of PI (P84) and fiberglass. It resists shrinkage and deformation under high-temperature flue gas filtration conditions, maintaining stable dimensional consistency over long-term operation.
2. Extreme Chemical Inertness
It withstands nearly all acids, alkalis, organic solvents and oxidants, with the only exceptions being molten alkali metals and high-temperature high-pressure fluorine gas. When filtering highly corrosive high-temperature flue gas containing sulfur, chlorine, ammonia and other components (e.g., waste incineration exhaust, chemical tail gas), its service life greatly outperforms aramid and expanded fiberglass fabrics. It is completely hydrolysis-resistant and will not degrade even in high-humidity and high-temperature environments, a critical advantage over Nomex and P84 filter media.
3. Superior Dust Cleaning Performance & Ultra-Low Operating Pressure Drop
PTFE features ultra-low surface energy and a small friction coefficient, delivering excellent anti-dust adhesion. Dust particles barely penetrate deep into the filter medium and only accumulate on the surface to form a surface filtration layer. The dust cake peels off effortlessly during ash cleaning, enabling high-efficiency pulse jet cleaning. The system maintains a low pressure drop for extended periods, reducing fan energy consumption.
4. Excellent & Stable Filtration Efficiency
For laminated PTFE high-temperature cloth (PTFE membrane filter media), pore sizes can be precisely controlled between 0.1~3μm to realize efficient surface and depth filtration, capturing over 99.99% of fine particulate matter such as PM2.5. Unlike fiberglass filter bags, it avoids bag blinding caused by condensation or porosity changes induced by thermal shrinkage under fluctuating temperature and humidity, sustaining consistent filtration performance.
PTFE is inherently flame retardant with a Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) above 95%, and does not support combustion. It offers enhanced safety when handling flammable and explosive dust. Anti-static PTFE filter media can also be manufactured via special surface modification treatments.
6. High Mechanical Strength & Long Service Life
Fiberglass-reinforced PTFE high-temperature cloth inherits the high tensile strength and dimensional stability of fiberglass. Its folding and abrasion resistance surpasses uncoated fiberglass filter media, as the PTFE coating significantly reduces fiber breakage caused by inter-fiber friction. 100% pure PTFE fiber filter media has slightly lower tensile strength yet superior flexibility and excellent folding fatigue resistance, with a service life of over 4 years.
