Jiangsu Aokai New Materials, a professional manufacturer of PTFE high-temperature cloth, shares industry applications. Featuring high temperature resistance, non-stick property, corrosion resistance and low friction, PTFE-coated fiberglass cloth is widely adopted across all rubber processing procedures from mixing, molding to post-vulcanization. Its main applications are categorized as follows:

I. Release and Isolation for Vulcanization & Molding

This is the core application of PTFE high-temperature cloth. It effectively eliminates rubber-to-mold adhesion, cuts release agent consumption and improves surface finish of finished rubber products.

1. Cushion Liners for Plate Vulcanizing Presses Laid between heating plates and molds of multi-layer plate vulcanizers, or directly lined on mold cavities for manufacturing rubber gaskets, seals, rubber feet and other parts. It performs exceptionally well for silicone rubber, fluororubber and other highly mold-adhesive elastomers.

2. Vacuum & Injection Vulcanizing Machines Separates molds from rubber stock to prevent flash adhesion on hot plates, extend mold cleaning intervals and simplify demolding operations.

3. Auxiliary Material for Tire Building & Vulcanization Used as non-stick conveying belts for green tire transfer and isolation layers for curing bladders, protecting bladders and reducing lubrication frequency.

4. Vulcanization of Rubber Tracks & V-Belts Lined inside hot-pressing molds of track vulcanizers for release, uniform pressure distribution and isolation, avoiding green belt adhesion to metal molds.

5. Continuous Release for Drum Vulcanizers For production of rubber flooring, rubber sheets and thin rubber films, endless PTFE cloth serves as release carrier belts. It transfers smooth uniform textures continuously and enables easy stripping of finished rubber.

II. Non-Stick Conveying for Mixing & Calendering

Hot rubber stock becomes highly tacky during mixing and sheeting; PTFE cloth enables smooth transportation without roller wrapping or material buildup.

1. Discharge Conveyor Belts for Open Mills Hot rubber sheets discharged from open mills fall directly onto PTFE belts without sticking or stacking, facilitating seamless transfer to downstream processes.

2. Chute & Curtain Guides for Internal Mixer Discharge & Calender Feeding Installed as non-stick guide chutes or curtains on calender rollers and conveying lines after internal mixer discharge, enabling smooth movement of bulk mixed rubber compounds.

3. Anti-Stick Liner & Traction Belts for Calender Rolls For thin rubber film calendering and fabric coating, PTFE cloth is attached to exit or cooling traction rollers, or used as release traction belts to achieve fast sheet separation and prevent roller wrapping.

4. Anti-Stick Hanging Frames & Support Rollers for Rubber Cooling Lines Support rollers and plates on rubber cooling racks and conveyor belts are wrapped with PTFE cloth to stop sheets from sticking together before full cooling and hardening.

III. Isolation & Storage Separation for Semi-Finished Rubber Products

Unvulcanized semi-finished rubber such as mixed sheets and preformed parts easily self-adhere or stick to containers during transit and storage; PTFE cloth acts as separating liners.

1. Separating Interleave Cloth Cut rubber sheets, strips and blocks are layered with PTFE cloth on storage pallets and turnover bins. Parts can be separated without tearing or deformation, and the cloth is reusable.

2. Conveyor Belts for Extrusion Lines After extrusion of sealing strips, rubber hoses and special profiles, the mesh conveying belts of microwave or hot air vulcanization ovens are covered with PTFE cloth. It prevents tacky unvulcanized rubber from sticking to mesh while maintaining hot air permeability.

IV. Processing of Specialty Rubbers & Silicone Elastomers

Silicone rubber, fluororubber, acrylate rubber and other high-tack elastomers benefit greatly from the superior release performance of PTFE cloth.

1. Continuous Vulcanization of Silicone Sheets & Foam Silicone Boards On roller or continuous plate vulcanizers, PTFE cloth functions as carrier and release belt to produce ultra-smooth solid and foamed silicone sheets.

2. Conveying for Silicone & Fluororubber Hose Vulcanization On sleeve curing and hot air vulcanization lines, PTFE conveyor belts support steady hose movement during vulcanization without stretching or deforming products.

3. Auxiliary Processing for Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) Injection Molding Self-adhesive PTFE high-temperature tape is locally applied near mold parting lines for venting and flash prevention, reducing mold maintenance frequency.

V. Post-Curing & Thermal Post-Processing in Ovens

Many rubber products require secondary vulcanization to stabilize physical properties, where PTFE cloth is used as oven conveyor belts or tray liners.

1. Oven Mesh Belts & Tray Cushions Small parts such as O-rings and oil seals are laid flat on PTFE cloth inside hot air ovens to avoid adhesion to metal trays while allowing uniform hot air circulation.

2. Isolation Layer for Thermal Bonding & Heat Sealing When thermally laminating or edge-sealing rubber components, PTFE cloth is placed between hot pressing heads and rubber parts to transfer heat without sticking, delivering neat consistent seams.

Summary

PTFE high-temperature cloth serves as an all-around non-stick conveying material covering the full rubber production workflow. Especially for continuous high-temperature vulcanization, calendering and conveying processes, it drastically boosts production efficiency, lowers reject rates and cuts consumption of chemical release agents. Material selection shall be matched to actual working conditions based on long-term temperature resistance (max 260°C continuous service, higher short-term tolerance), contact adhesive surfaces, thickness and abrasion resistance grades.
