I. Dry Electrode/Electrolyte Membrane Manufacturing

1. High-temperature anti-stick conveyor belts

   According to Jiangsu Teflon high-temperature fabric manufacturers: The dry process uses hot roll pressing to compress active materials and solid-state electrolyte powders into self-supporting films, with temperatures typically reaching 150–250 °C. The film materials tend to adhere strongly to steel rollers. Teflon high-temperature fabric can serve as a continuous conveyor belt, utilizing its non-stick properties to enable smooth peeling and continuous winding of the film.

2. Hot roller covering layer

   The high-temperature fabric can be directly wrapped around the press roller surface to form a semi-permanent anti-stick layer, eliminating the need for release agents that could contaminate the materials.

3. Process value

   It ensures a smooth and flat film surface, reduces pinholes and defects, and directly improves the yield of dry-process films. It is a core consumable material in large-scale solid-state battery production.

II. Release Liners and Cushioning Pads for Hot-Pressing Densification

1. Release liner anti-stick molds

   Sulfide-based and polymer-based solid-state batteries require hot isostatic pressing or flat hot pressing to achieve dense contact between the electrolyte and the electrode sheets, with temperatures ranging from 100–300 °C and pressures up to tens of megapascals. Teflon high-temperature fabric from Jiangsu manufacturers can be cut and placed between the battery stack and the mold to prevent highly active materials from adhering to metal molds, avoiding demolding failure and cross-contamination.

2. Micro-elasticity for pressure equalization

   Its slight elasticity can compensate for parallelism deviations in the mold, resulting in more uniform pressure distribution and effectively reducing the risk of battery cracking.

3. Protection of supporting equipment

   It can also be used to wrap the heating plates of hot-pressing machines as a semi-permanent anti-stick layer, extending equipment service life and reducing cleaning time.

III. Medium-Temperature Baking, Annealing, and Encapsulation Protection

1. Conveyor mesh belts / tray liners for coating and drying sections

   For drying after polymer solid-state electrolyte coating, or low-dew-point annealing of sulfide electrolyte films (typically ≤200 °C), Teflon high-temperature fabric can be made into conveyor belts to transport electrode sheets, or laid on aluminum alloy trays to prevent uncured coatings from sticking, with good resistance to long-term thermal aging. Note: Oxide electrolytes (e.g., LLZO) require sintering temperatures exceeding 700 °C, where this fabric is not applicable; however, their precursor coating and drying stages (around 150 °C) can still utilize it.

2. Heat-sealing protection for pouch cells

   During side sealing and top sealing of pouch cells, the heat-sealing head temperatures reach 160–190 °C. A thin high-temperature fabric (0.08–0.15 mm) can be placed between the heating block and the aluminum-plastic film to prevent the nylon layer from sticking to the sealing head, avoid surface scorching, and simultaneously conduct heat evenly, improving sealing reliability.

IV. Production Line Fixtures and Cleanroom Workstation Protection

1. Glovebox work surfaces and material box liners

   Some sulfide electrolytes generate corrosive gases when exposed to air. Laying Teflon high-temperature fabric on glovebox work surfaces and as inner liners for material boxes provides chemical corrosion resistance without introducing metal impurities, maintaining high cleanliness.

2. Insulating scratch-prevention gaskets

   In fixtures for formation, testing, and aging equipment, high-temperature fabric can be used as gaskets to provide both electrical insulation and scratch protection for battery exteriors, meeting stringent appearance requirements.
