I.AdjustingtheFabricTravelSpeed:TheCoreControlMethod

Relationshipbetweenspeedandtime:Sinteringtime(s)=effectiveheatingsectionlengthoftheoven(m)÷fabrictravelspeed(m/s).Forexample,iftheeffectivesectionlengthis15mandthelinespeedis5m/min,thetimeis3minutes.Productionlinesusefrequencyconvertersorservomotorstopreciselyadjustthepull-rollerspeed,enablingreal-timechangesinsinteringtime.

Prioritizespeedadjustment:Temperaturehashighthermalinertia.Duringstableproduction,thetemperatureshouldbefixed,andthelinespeedshouldserveasthemostresponsive"timedial."Whenfine-tuningisneeded,speedadjustmentshouldbeprioritized.

II.DefiningEffectiveSinteringTimeandTemperatureZoneSettings

Use350°Castheeffectivesinteringthreshold:PTFEmeltsatapproximately327°C,butindustriallevelingrequires370–395°C.Therefore,thezoneabove350°Cisdefinedastheeffectivesinteringzone.Onlythetimethefabricspendsabovethistemperatureiscountedassinteringtime.

Multi-zonetemperaturedistribution:Preheatingzone(100–250°C)–removesprocessingaidsandpreventsblistering;Sinteringzone(360–395°C)–achievesmeltleveling;High-temperaturesettingzone(380–390°C)–relievesinternalstress;Coolingzone(cooledbelow300°C)–notcountedinsinteringtime.

Calculatingeffectiveresidencetime:Dividethetotallengthofallzonessetat≥350°Cbythelinespeed.Forexample,ifthetotallengthofsectionsabove350°Cis10mandthespeedis4m/min,theeffectivesinteringtimeis2.5minutes.

III.ProductSpecificationsDetermineTargetTimeandAdjustments

Referencesinteringtimes(at380–390°C):Lightweighttypes(0.08–0.13mm)–30–60seconds;Standardtypes(0.18–0.25mm)–1.5–3minutes;Heavytypes(0.35mmandabove)–3–5minutesorlonger,withcareneededtoprevent"cookedoutside,rawinside."

Identificationandadjustment:Insufficientsintering(lowstrength,powdershedding,micro-cracks)→reducespeedtoextendtime;Over-sintering(yellowing,brittleness,irritatingwhitefumes)→increasespeedtoshortenhigh-temperatureresidence.

Temperature-timeequivalenceinterchange:High-temperaturefastsintering(395–405°C,dozensofseconds,higherrisk)orlow-temperatureslowsintering(360–375°C,5–8minutes,morestablequality)arebothpossible.Theprincipleistokeeptemperatureconstantasthepriorityandadjustlinespeedaccordingly.

IV.QualityClosed-LoopControlandKeyPrecautions

Qualityinspection:Qualifiedproductsappearmilkywhiteandtranslucent,withasmooth,non-grainysurface;yellowingindicatesover-sintering,whilepowderyspotsorpowdersheddingindicateunder-sintering.Regularlytestpeelstrength;ifinsufficient,reducespeedby3–5%toextendsinteringtime.Ifstrengthisadequatebutthefabricisbrittle,prioritizefine-tuningthetemperaturewhileappropriatelyshorteningthetime.Useaninfraredthermometertomonitorfabricsurfacetemperaturetoensurethatresidencetimeabove350°Cmeetstherequirement.

Closed-loopcontrol:Establishaclosedloopof"speed/temperaturesetting→qualityinspectionfeedback→correction."Temperatureshouldberelativelyfixed,withspeedservingasthereal-timecontrolvariable.

Criticalprohibitions:PTFEdecomposesabove415°C,releasingtoxicgases;prolongedresidenceabove400°Cisstrictlyprohibited.Extendedhigh-temperatureexposuredamagestheglassfibersizingagent,leadingtoadecreaseinbasefabricstrength.Aftersintering,thecoolingrateinthe300–250°Ccrystallizationzonemustbecontrolledtoensurecoatingflexibility.
